Help Me Grow Utah is currently offering monthly trainings on the Ages & Stages Questionnaire® Tools. This 7 hour training includes the:
- Ages & Stages Questionnaires®, Third Edition (ASQ®-3)
- Ages & Stages Questionnaires®: Social-Emotional, Second Edition (ASQ®:SE-2)
- ASQ® Online Enterprise System
Trainings are free and open to any agency/individual wishing to offer the Ages & Stages Questionnaires® to the families that they work with. Registration is required.
This training is produced with funding from the Department of Workforce Services, Office of Child Care through the Child Care and Development Block Grant.

How do I participate in the ASQ Training through Help Me Grow Utah?
This training is a live virtual training that happens once a month. Each training date has a unique Zoom registration.To register for the training:
- You will need to complete the Zoom registration form.
- After registering, you will receive an automated email with an access link. The link is unique to you. Do not forward or share it.
What is expected to participate virtually?
This Live Virtual trainings will be interactive and engaging! Below are some expectations for active engagement:
- We encourage you to attend the virtual training using a desktop or laptop computer. Smartphones and tablets are not compatible with some of the activities planned for the training.
- Please attend the sessions with your webcam enabled. The trainers must be able to see all participants. Webcams will also support interactive participation in various training activities.
- Attend and actively participate during the entire training.
- Have the ASQ Training Handouts with you during the training sessions. The training materials will be shipped to the participants by Help Me Grow Utah in advance.
- Be "in the zone” by removing distractions from your environment. For example, close applications for email, websites, or other applications that may affect your ability to participate.
Do I need to have the ASQ-3 and/or ASQ:SE-2 Paper Questionnaires or Starter Kits to attend the virtual training?
No, you only need to have your ASQ Training Handouts. During the training you will learn about options to access or purchase the ASQ Tools.
What are the hours of the ASQ Training?
The training will be held from 9:00am to 4:00pm MT, with a one hour lunch break.
For the best possible Institute experience and to successfully complete the training, please plan to attend the entire training. Certificates of completion will be emailed at the conclusion of the training to those who successfully complete the entire training.
I am a new to using ASQ tools, is this training for me?
Yes! This training will give you a in-depth overview of the ASQ-3, ASQ:SE-2, and ASQ Online Tools. Participants will take part in numerouse activites to understand and get comforatable with using these tools.
During the training you will learn about options to access or purchase the ASQ Tools, if you don't already have them.
I already use ASQ Tools, what can I expect from this training?
The training will provide a comprehensive refresher on the ASQ tools and how to use them in your work. In addition, you will have the opportunity to network with colleagues and have questions answered by our expert speakers.
Do I need to attend the full training?
Participants must stay for the entire time to successfully complete the training, no exceptions. Certificates of completion will be emailed after the training to those who successfully complete the training.
We understand that emergencies occur and that a call to the office may become necessary; outside of emergency circumstances, please try to avoid scheduling calls/meetings while you are in attendance at the training. If this is unavoidable, please attempt to limit these interruptions by scheduling them during breaks and lunch.
Is there a cost associated with the training?
Help Me Grow Utah is able to provide this training at no cost to participants, courtesy of funding from the Department of Workforce Services, Office of Child Care through the Child Care and Development Block Grant.
